Plato

Plato was a Greek plhilosopher and is one of the most important figures of the Ancient Greek world and the entire history of Western thought. He worte a lot a books in form of dialogue and monologue. He wrote about very interesting topics that survived the time and are still studied.

He wrote how a man can be in an universe in wich he can know himself(and opposite). He said that God saw everything in disorder, and desired that all should be like himself. He produced order out of disorder. That brought beauty in existence. So we shold copy what he has made in our lifes to change the disorder to order and the beauty is created. The Creator God takes the forms and fashion the universe but not the mankind, because his perfection causes him to stand apart from the created order. So he creates cosmos, and cosmos created the gods(Greek Pantheon),and the gods created mankind, animals are the lowest layer that are generated by mankind by reincarnation(a type of person ofter dies reincarnates onto a bird, horse, bee etc, based on the characteristics of certain inviduals). So he put these layers of excistance.

He talks about the soul, the being(existence). The creaton of soul is made by 2 parts:Being as we see you,It is eternal and it is imparticiple, being in parts,it is in time and participle. So there are 2 sides: imparticiple and participle, normaly they can’t be mixed but the mixture of those two make the soul.In conclusion, there is a permanent part of soul wich is cpable knowing and cant be broken into parts, and a part of soul wich is in time.

He wrote that the God uses the elements of earth, fire, air and water to create four regular solids to be considered as the primary for each kind:
-Tetahedron: fire
-Cube: earth
-octahedron: air
-icosahedron: water
And the last one and the most perfect Plactonic From is dodectrahedron which is the building block of the universe.

I really enjoyed reading Plato’s work, and it made me see things in a different way. There is a lot space for criticism but in overall it

is a great work for the time it was written and had an impact for such a long time.
